SimpleCall Helps Al-Ansari Foundation Raise £5,200 For Orphan Education
SimpleCall helped sponsor the Al-Ansari Foundation's annual fundraising event, which was able to raise £5,200 for orphan education this May.
The Al-Ansari Foundation is a UK-based charity dedicated to improving the lives of children in Africa, helping it to raise £5,200 for orphan education. Since it was founded in 2010, it has worked with Islamic Relief in the UK, Muzdalifah Islamic Charitable Organization in Africa, and other international organisations such as IHH in Turkey and WEFA in Germany.
The charity's prime focus is to help children and orphans in Africa. Its current projects include building a school for orphans in Makoba Bumbwini, which is located in one of the most rural parts of Zanzibar, Africa. The children of Bumbwini study under dire conditions, under trees and open shelters, with no tables, paper or pens.
In the last year, the Al-Ansari Foundation has distributed food to more than 5,000 families across the Spice Islands located in the Indian Ocean off the coast of Dar-us-Salaam, East Africa. It has also secured scores of orphan sponsors and has completed the build of Kizimkazi madrasah, and built orphan homes to kick-start the lives of children.
SimpleCall sponsored the Al-Ansari Foundation as part of its continuing dedication to social responsibility. It is part of the SimpleCall's core beliefs that companies should use their resources to help promote charitable work and underprivileged groups.
